Operating Stages

Operating stages are critical to your case management, from Preop to OR to PACU. Now, they can be integrated into your PREFcards experience, from PREFcards to case usage to reports.

Every facility has three default operating stages: Preop, OR, and PACU. To add, rename, or delete operating stages, a facility admin can go to 'Settings' > 'Operating Stages'.

All items and notes found on PREFcards are associated with an operating stage. Your existing items and notes have all been placed on the 'OR' stage.

Viewing and editing PREFcards will default to the 'OR' stage, but can be updated at the top of each page.

Printing PREFcards will always prompt for which operating stages to print. When printing PREFcards, if a PREFcard does not have items or notes for a requested operating stage, then that stage for that PDF will be skipped.

Each operating stage will print on its own page when exported to PDF. The stage will be shown in the top right corner of each page.

Recording usage and prepping cases are also operating stage aware.

Closing a case closes the entire case, including all operating stages. Make sure that all stages have been completed before you review and close a case.

All reports, from Case Aging to Cases by Day and Procedure Costs, include usage from all operating stages.
