Inventory Locations
Facilities can now manage the location of every item in their inventory. All facility admins and inventory managers have access to the new location field, along with all other aspects of inventory management (nickname, cost, reference number, etc).
Managing item locations is done on the "Edit Item" page. Each item can have multiple locations. To make the most use of item locations, use consistent naming, spelling, and separators. We recommend using a system of types and numbers with separators, like this:
Room 1311 / Shelf 5 / Bin 3
Room 6238 / Shelf 7 / Bin 2
Inventory locations are also synchronized with our inventory management partners. If your facility has an integration with Hybrent, for example, all location changes in Hybrent will be imported into PREFcards automatically.

Having the locations is one thing. Using them in a meaningful way is another. We're currently working on a picklist feature that will help scrub techs pick items for a case based on the location of an item. Stay tuned for more information.
