Barcode Scanner for Editing Prefcards

Beginning immediately, all users can use the camera on your phone, tablet, or computer to scan barcodes for item management. We recognize over 2 million barcodes, including the most common devices, instruments, sutures, implantables, and more.

Updating a PREFcard in the OR has never been easier, faster, or more accurate!

If you're adding many items to a PREFcard, there's a shortcut that will save you time. Click 'Scan', and then check the 'Scan Multiple' checkbox. Now, when you scan a barcode, the item will be added to the card, and the open/hold counts will appear above the scanner, allowing you to adjust the numbers quickly and keep scanning.

To make this update possible, we had to move around some of the buttons and fields on the edit page. The next time you're editing a card, you'll notice that all action buttons have been moved to the bottom of the page, and stick with the page as you scroll up and down.

Now that we recognize millions of medical items, your searches no longer need to be category-specific. Use the new 'Search' button at the bottom of the screen to search all categories for all items.
