PDF Generation

You, our users, asked for consistent PDF generation, and now we have it! Instead of using your browser's "Print" functionality, you can now export any card to a PDF. When viewing any PREFcard, click 'Actions' > 'PDF' to download the PDF.

Print multiple PDFs at the same time using 'Print PREFcards'. On this new screen for facility users, every PREFcard associated with your facility will be listed in a searchable, sortable table. To print a copy of a PREFcard, click the '+' button. As you search, filter, and page, the selected cards to be printed will be remembered. When you're ready, just click 'Print X Cards' and a PDF will be downloaded with each PREFcard on its own page/pages.

All of your changes stored in Card Builder will now apply to the generated PDF. Updating Card Builder preferences will update all PDFs generated by the system.

The top right corner of every printed PREFcard will contain a QR code that is a link to the readonly version of the card. This readonly version can be read by anyone, inside the facility and outside the facility, with the link.

The biggest complaints about printing the webpage through the browser were split lines, printing the navigation & margins, and odd breakpoints for splitting categories. All these complaints have been heard and fixed with this new PDF generation. From now on, enjoy consistent, high quality PDFs for all of your printed PREFcards.
